Stoke City boss Mark Hughes said he wants to equal the club’s highest ever Premier League points tally against his former club Fulham.
The Potters are set to play the London club on Saturday, May 3 at the Britannia Stadium.
If they win, Stoke City will have 47 points, which equals the team’s highest points tally.
The Potters are currently tenth in the Premier League.
Speaking to StaffsLive, Hughes said: “We’re looking to get the job done and get another three points, we were disappointed after last week.
“We’ve got a good chance to equal our record Premier League points at Fulham this weekend.”
“We’re pleased with what we’ve done so far. If we can win the last two games we can do something we have never done before at the club.”
Hughes managed Fulham for one season, but left in 2011 after helping them to an eighth place finish in the Premier League.
Fulham are currently struggling and are second from bottom
And if Stoke City beat Fulham on Saturday and either Norwich or Sunderland win, Hughes will relegate his ex-club.
But the Potters boss does not want this weekend to be all about his old club.
Hughes said: “My focus is solely Stoke City.
“We’ve got our challenge to match the maximum number of points a Stoke team has ever made in the Premier League.”
“We’re hoping to put on a really good performance for the fans – their support has been great this season.”
